Soccer Game Preview: Clearfield vs. Syracuse

The Clearfield Falcons will challenge the Syracuse Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clearfield's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Clearfield came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-0 to Fremont. One reason for the loss might be Clearfield's aggressive play style: Isaac Harestad and Jett Burnett were both handed yellow cards.

Meanwhile, Syracuse kept a clean sheet against West Field on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Longhorns. Two seems to be a good number for Syracuse as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Tate Jacob and Wyatt Affleck scored both of Syracuse's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Clearfield now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Syracuse, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
