Basketball Recap: Hiawatha Comes Up Short

Hiawatha was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They were dealt a 78-26 defeat at the hands of the Harvest Christian Academy Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 70-29 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2014.

Hiawatha's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Harvest Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hiawatha will take on South Beloit at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Harvest Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Aurora Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
