Basketball Game Preview: Huron Tigers vs. Willard Crimson Flashes

The Huron Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Willard Crimson Flashes at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Huron has five straight victories, Willard has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Saturday, Huron was able to grind out a solid win over Norwalk, taking the game 54-46.

Meanwhile, Willard lost 73-49 to Clyde on Thursday. The Crimson Flashes were down 54-33 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Huron is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points per game. As for Willard, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Huron didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Willard when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 56-51 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Huron since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
