Volleyball Recap: Crosspoint Christian Comes Up Short

Crosspoint Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Varsity Opponent. Crosspoint Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Varsity Opponent apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-16, 25-14.

Crosspoint Christian's offense was headlined by Ella Cobb and Ava Cobb, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Lizzy Schutt and her three assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Crosspoint Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Coming up, Crosspoint Christian will venture away from home to take on Maranatha Baptist Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Varsity Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Cristo Rey Jesuit on the 13th.
