Basketball Recap: Seneca Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westside, Seneca was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Greenville Red Raiders by a score of 53-43.

Seneca found their leader in freshman Karmandee Hall, who went 8 of 18 on her way to 26 points and seven rebounds. Those 26 points gave Hall a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Weston, who posted eight points and ten rebounds.

Seneca's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Greenville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seneca will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pickens at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Greenville also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Greenwood at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
