Football Preview: Mingus Marauders vs. Bradshaw Mountain Bears
After each having a week off, the Mingus Marauders and the Bradshaw Mountain Bears will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mingus is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Mingus was just a hair shy of victory and fell 14-13 to Flagstaff.
Reighns Stokes put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 176 yards. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made six total tackles. Remington Stokes got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Bradshaw Mountain waltzed into their matchup last Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 27-20 victory over the Panthers.
Bradshaw Mountain's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kylin Jackson, who picked up 98 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 102 yards. That's the most rushing yards Jackson has posted since back in October of 2023. Another player making a difference was Sean Hughes, who gained 135 total yards and a touchdown.
Mingus' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Bradshaw Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Mingus was taken down by Bradshaw Mountain 34-7 in their previous matchup back in October of 2023. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Mingus was down 28-0.
