Volleyball Recap: Kewaunee Finds Home Court Redemption Against Sevastopol

There's no place like home for Kewaunee, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Sevastopol Pioneers 3-2. This was payback for the Storm, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kewaunee took Sevastopol into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 11-25, 25-15, 24-26, 25-15, 15-13.

Kewaunee had a senior duo take command as Braelyn Chevalier had 18 digs and four aces and Gabby Stangel had 21 digs. Those 18 digs set a new season-high mark for Chevalier.

Kewaunee was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Kewaunee pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Sevastopol, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-12.

Looking ahead, Kewaunee will venture away from home to challenge Mishicot at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sevastopol, they will host Gibraltar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
