Baseball Game Preview: Arnold Marlins vs. Wakulla War Eagles

The Arnold Marlins will challenge the Wakulla War Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Arnold will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Arnold played against Godby on Tuesday and won via forfeit.

Wakulla is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Rickards as they made off with a 17-0 win. The War Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Wakulla gave Mack Johnson the start and clearly made the right call: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave Johnson a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sam Bruce, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Kendall Wimes was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Wakulla hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive games.

Arnold's record now sits at 15-11. As for Wakulla, their record is now 12-13.
