Football Recap: Davenport Falls to Inchelium in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Davenport unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 46-26 to the Inchelium Hornets on Friday. While the Gorillas didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hornets 12-8 in the first quarter.

Derek Perez had a dynamite game For Inchelium., rushing for 266 yards and four TDs on only ten carries, while also throwing for 118 yards and one touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. Perez's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards. Gaige Stensgar also helped with two scores in total.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davenport is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Tonasket at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Inchelium, they will head out to square off against Columbia at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Hornets' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
