Basketball Recap: Model Secondary School for the Deaf Comes Up Short

Model Secondary School for the Deaf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Dragons and fell 57-21. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.

Model Secondary School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Florida School for the Deaf & Blind, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

Model Secondary School for the Deaf will be playing in front of their home fans against Spencerville Adventist Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Florida School for the Deaf & Blind, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Joseph Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. Florida School for the Deaf & Blind's defense has only allowed 28.4 points per game this season, so St. Joseph Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
