Recap: Stillman Valley vs. Byron
Byron won the last time they faced Stillman Valley, and things went their way on Friday, too. Everything went Byron's way against Stillman Valley as they made off with a 41-14 win. 41 seems to be a good number for Byron as the team scooped up a win with the same point total in their previous game.
Byron's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 19 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Stillman Valley couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 19-0 heading into the break. The offense for Byron continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 22 points. The victory bumped their record up to 1-0. The loss dropped Stillman Valley's record to 1-0.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week, Byron take on Rock Falls at Rock Falls High School at 7:00 PM. As for Stillman Valley, they will face off against Winnebago. Neither team wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable defeat.
