Basketball Recap: Ferguson Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Ferguson can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against the Varela Vipers by the margin of a single free throw, 47-46. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ferguson's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Varela, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ferguson will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bishop Verot at 7:40 p.m. on December 27th. As for Varela, they will venture away from home to take on Sunset at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sunset will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Varela surely won't give up without a fight.
