Volleyball Recap: Grain Valley's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Grain Valley proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Fort Osage Indians 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Kyleigh Casey paced Grain Valley's offense, picking up 12 kills. Casey got some help from Bromlee Cook and her 14 assists. Chesnie King controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The win (which was Grain Valley's third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. As for Fort Osage, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Grain Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Pleasant Hill on the 13th. As for Fort Osage, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against St. Pius X on the 13th.
