Softball Recap: St. Bede Comes Up Short

St. Bede came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the IC Catholic Prep Knights, falling 8-2. The Bruins were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

St. Bede's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for IC Catholic Prep, their record is now 16-11.

Coming up, St. Bede will be playing at home against Seneca at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Fighting Irish will roll in looking for their 27th straight win, something the Bruins surely won't give up without a fight. As for IC Catholic Prep, they will head out to challenge Timothy Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
