Volleyball Game Preview: Everett Alvarez Eagles vs. Seaside Spartans

The Everett Alvarez Eagles will take on the Seaside Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Everett Alvarez is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Everett Alvarez had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Watsonville on Thursday. Everything went Everett Alvarez's way against Watsonville as Everett Alvarez made off with a 3-0 victory. The match marked the Eagles' most dominant win of the season so far.

Everett Alvarez walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-23, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Seaside had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Rancho San Juan on Wednesday.

Seaside had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-22.

Everett Alvarez now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Seaside, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0.

Everett Alvarez might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Seaside in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Everett Alvarez avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
