Softball Recap: North Miami Falls Short of Southwood in the Playoffs

North Miami and Southwood squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but North Miami had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 5-4. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 13-0.

Jordyn Hackworth made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs. Another player making a difference was Aricyn Hunt, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

North Miami's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Southwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-10 record this season.

North Miami does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southwood, they will face off against Cambridge City Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
