Basketball Game Preview: Belle Fourche Broncs vs. Wall Eagles

The Belle Fourche Broncs will face off against the Wall Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Belle Fourche has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight losses, while Wall will come in with four straight wins.

Last Tuesday, Belle Fourche came up short against Rapid City Christian and fell 57-50. That's two games in a row now that the Broncs have lost by exactly seven points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wall). They strolled past Bridgewater/Emery with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 67-49.

Belle Fourche better keep an eye on Faith Frink. She was instrumental in Wall's win, dropping a double-double with 32 points and 15 boards. With that strong performance, Frink is now averaging an impressive 8.1 rebounds per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmy Moon, who posted ten points along with seven boards and three steals.

Wall smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 13 consecutive games.

Wall's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Belle Fourche, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 11-8.

Belle Fourche strolled past Wall when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 71-56. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Wall's Paige Kjerstad, who went 9-for-17 en route to 21 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Now that she won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for Belle Fourche to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
