Softball Recap: Oconomowoc Find Success

Oconomowoc won the last time they faced Janesville Parker and things went their way on Monday too. The Raccoons walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Vikings. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raccoons.

Kayla Glidewell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jaycie Anderson, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Harbor Breitzman, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Oconomowoc's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Janesville Parker, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Oconomowoc will be playing at home against Waukesha West at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolverines' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Raccoons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Janesville Parker, they will challenge Sun Prairie West at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.64 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
