Recap: Babylon Panthers vs. Southampton Mariners
The Babylon Panthers lost against the Southampton Mariners back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Babylon had to suffer through a rough 82-15 loss at the hands of Southampton. Babylon was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-8.
Southampton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dominick White led the charge by scoring 20 points. White is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Alex Franklin, who scored 16 points.
Babylon's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2. As for Southampton, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.
Babylon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southampton, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bayport-Blue Point at 4:30 p.m. Southampton is coming into the contest with 16 straight wins at home, meaning Bayport-Blue Point will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
