Prattville Christian Academy barely beat Tallassee the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Thursday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Not much got past Laura Nesmith, who gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Tallassee off the board. Nesmith has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Peyton Thrash was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Hollon, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Alabama Christian Academy and Trinity Presbyterian, and Trinity Presbyterian kept the tradition alive. The Eagles fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 12-10 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since March 28, 2024.
Madolyn Traywick was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Traywick was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That stolen base was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Izzy Warrick was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Hall, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Prattville Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Alabama Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 10-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Prattville Christian Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Alabama Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 6-4. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
