Softball Recap: Buhach Colony Comes Up Short

Buhach Colony was the 8-6 winner over Golden Valley when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Thunder fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 6-5 on Thursday. The Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peyton Runyan Rocha made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. Valaria Aguilar Magana also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Buhach Colony's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Golden Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 6-9.

Coming up, Buhach Colony will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against El Capitan at 4:00 p.m. The Thunder are facing the Gauchos at the right time seeing as the Gauchos are stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Golden Valley, they will venture away from home to take on Merced at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
