Preview: Rim of the World Fighting Scots vs. Eisenhower Eagles
Rim of the World is 0-4 against Eisenhower since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Rim of the World Fighting Scots will head out on the road to challenge the Eisenhower Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Rim of the World is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Rim of the World scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Fontana by a score of 65-58. The win was all the more spectacular given Rim of the World's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1041st, while Fontana is ranked 443rd).
Rim of the World's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Thornburg led the charge by scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cole Paxton, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Eisenhower can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They secured a 48-43 W over Rialto.
Rim of the World's record is now 7-12. Eisenhower's record is now 7-15.
Rim of the World was taken down by Eisenhower 75-27 in their previous meeting back in January of 2020. Thankfully for Rim of the World, Daniel Rouzan (who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
