Basketball Recap: Lead Hill Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Lead Hill hadn't done well against Jasper recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Lead Hill Tigers were the clear victor by a 69-46 margin over the Jasper Pirates. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly 23 points.

Lead Hill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Noah Royce out in front who went 7 for 15 en route to 16 points in addition to six boards and five assists. Royce has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Dawson Lively, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 19 points and five assists.

Lead Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Lead Hill's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-13. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.2 points per game. As for Jasper, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 26-7 record.

Lead Hill will face off against Mount Judea at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jasper, they will challenge Kingston at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
