            Softball Recap: Altoona Mountain Lions vs. Mifflin County Huskies        
        
		
        
        
            If Altoona was riding high  fresh off their  8-1 takedown of Juniata last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mountain Lions wound up with the same score they had in their last game (8-1), but sadly  the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Huskies from their previous meeting  back in April of 2024.
 Altoona saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kaya Sprankle, who  went 1-for-2 with one  double.  Kendall Cogan also deserves some recognition as  she  got her first  hit of the season.
Altoona's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Mifflin County,  the  win  got them back to even at 1-1-1.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Altoona will  take on  rival Cumberland Valley  at 4:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mifflin County is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Chambersburg  at 4:15  p.m.  on Wednesday.
