After flying high against Northmont last Friday, Centerville came back down to earth. The Elks took a 30-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Springboro Panthers on Friday. The Elks' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Centerville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Springboro, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Centerville will take on rival Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Springboro is set to face off against their familiar foe Miamisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
