Soccer Recap: Freeman Victorious

Two must be Freeman's lucky number: they beat Rice Consolidated with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Golden Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Raiders. That's two games straight that Freeman have won by just one goal.

Joel Guiterrez and Gabriel Colmenares scored both of Freeman's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

The win got Freeman back to even at 2-2. As for Rice Consolidated, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5-1.

Coincidentally, Freeman and Rice Consolidated will both be playing Smithville the next time they take the pitch. The Raiders will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Golden Eagles will host them at 8:50 a.m. on Friday.
