It was a good run, but Montrose unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Abington Heights Comets. If the Meteors were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Comets when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Abington Heights was led to victory by Madison Smith and Brielle Wentz. Smith had ten digs and three aces, while Wentz had nine assists and three digs. That's the most digs Smith has posted over her last six contests.

Montrose's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Abington Heights, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Comets beat Montrose by a score of 2-0 later that day.
