Football Recap: Masuk Piles Up the Points Against Bunnell

With a playoff win on the line, Masuk rose to the challenge on Sunday. They claimed a resounding 41-13 victory over the Bunnell Bulldogs. 41 seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Gavin Walker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 166 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, while also picking up 98 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 166 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Aaron Champagne was another key player, throwing for 235 yards and three touchdowns on only 18 passes.

The victory made it two in a row for Masuk and bumps their season record up to 9-3. As for Bunnell, they moved to 9-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Masuk will square off against Windsor at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Windsor will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Masuk surely won't give up without a fight. Bunnell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
