Monrovia's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for South Pasadena, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Monrovia suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to South Pasadena in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Monrovia avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
