Softball Recap: Appleton East Comes Up Short

After flying high against Appleton West on Friday, Appleton East came back down to earth. The Patriots came up short against the Oshkosh West Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 12-2. The Patriots have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Appleton East's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Oshkosh West, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Coming up, Appleton East will head out on the road to take on West De Pere at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Phantoms will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oshkosh West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fond du Lac at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
