 The Hopkinsville Tigers will look to defend their home field  on Friday against the Murray Tigers at 5:30  p.m. Both teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Hopkinsville: 3.4, Murray: 3.7) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
 On Thursday, Hopkinsville was able to grind out a solid  victory over Calloway County, taking the game  4-1.
 The team  relied heavily on  Zach Moss, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.  Dylan Sweeney was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Murray was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell just short of Carlisle County by a score of  4-3.
 Hopkinsville's win  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 16-9. As for Murray, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-16.
 Hopkinsville took their  victory against Murray  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2017 by a conclusive  12-6. Does  Hopkinsville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Murray turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
