Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Van-Far's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Van-Far can now relate to. They received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 46-31 to the Louisiana Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th in Missouri, while the Bulldogs are ranked 160th in Missouri).

Despite the loss, Van-Far still got an impressive performance from Elliott Utterback, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 23 points and six rebounds. That was a full 74.2% of Van-Far's points, marking the sixth time in a row Utterback has posted more than a third of the team's points.

The defeat snapped Van-Far's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-16 record. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points over those games. As for Louisiana, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Van-Far nor Louisiana have any future games scheduled.
