Volleyball Recap: Thomas More Prep-Marian Comes Up Short

Thomas More Prep-Marian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Rock Creek Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Monarchs of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

While Thomas More Prep-Marian ultimately came up short, they really made Rock Creek work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 29-27.

Adi Gottschalk paced Thomas More Prep-Marian's offense, picking up four kills. Gottschalk got some help from Bria Windholz and her four assists. Emily Hipp controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Thomas More Prep-Marian's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Rock Creek, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 6-2.

Thomas More Prep-Marian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Abilene on the 4th. As for Rock Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Smoky Valley on the 4th.
