Soccer Game Preview: Beatrice vs. Seward

The Beatrice Orangemen will challenge the Seward Bluejays at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Beatrice's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Tuesday, Beatrice came up short against Lincoln Northwest and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Seward hadn't done well against Aurora recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bluejays' defense stepped up to hand the Huskies a 1-0 shutout. Josh Keller had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Seward.

Beatrice's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Seward, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Beatrice came out on top in a nail-biter against Seward when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Orangemen repeat their success, or do the Bluejays have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
