Baseball Preview: Edon Bombers vs. Hilltop Cadets        
        
		
            The Edon Bombers are taking a road trip to  challenge the Hilltop Cadets  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Edon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6  runs per game  this season.
Saturday just wasn't the day for Edon's offense. They came up short against  Edgerton on Saturday, falling  12-0. The Bombers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Edon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Braedyn Wehrle, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Hilltop). They blew past Cardinal Stritch 19-1 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cadets considering their two-run performance the  contest before.
 Terry Rebeck was a  major factor no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  hit and  allowed only  one  earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has become a key player for Hilltop: the team is 3-1 when he allows at  most  two  earned runs, but 7-8 otherwise. Rebeck was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Cameron Shimp, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was  Brennan Dempsey, who  went 1-for-2 with three  RBI and two  runs.
 Edon's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Hilltop, they now  have a winning record of 10-9.
 Edon came out on top in a nail-biter against Hilltop in their previous matchup  back in April, sneaking past  4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bombers since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
