Basketball Recap: Pinecrest Prep Comes Up Short at Home Against JC Bermudez Doral

Pinecrest Prep unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 65-53 to the JC Bermudez Doral Thunder on Monday.

Loss or not, Pinecrest Prep got some senior leadership from Gabriel Guzman and Dwayne Toussaint. Guzman posted 17 points and eight rebounds, while Toussaint put up 13 points and seven boards. Aaron Castellon was another key player, putting up four points and four steals.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Pinecrest Prep won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Homestead at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for JC Bermudez Doral, they will challenge Westland Hialeah at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
