Soccer Recap: Clearfield Takes a Loss

Clearfield lost against Penns Valley Area back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bison fell just short of the Rams by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Clearfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 501st, while Penns Valley Area are ranked 229th).

Clearfield is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12. As for Penns Valley Area, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Clearfield will take on Cambria Heights at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Penns Valley Area, they will venture away from home to take on Bellefonte at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
