Volleyball Recap: Pleasant Hope Comes Up Short

Pleasant Hope managed to slip by Warsaw the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pirates came up short against the Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Pirates have suffered since September 9th.

Pleasant Hope was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22, 25-14.

Lily Lambeth paced Pleasant Hope's offense, picking up ten kills. Lambeth got some help from Abigail Fitzlaff and her 16 assists.

Pleasant Hope's record is now 8-6-3. As for Warsaw, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Pleasant Hope will take on Conway at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Warsaw, they will welcome Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season.
