Softball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Stefanie Barker and Lindsey Moss Lead Philip Barbour to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Petersburg, Philip Barbour was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Liberty Mountaineers a 15-0 shutout. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Mountaineers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Lindsey Moss and Stefanie Barker did most of the damage at the plate: Moss went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Barker went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits Barker has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Cooper, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Philip Barbour was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .522. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Philip Barbour's win bumped their record up to 9-11-1. As for Liberty, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
