Football Recap: Foothills Christian Comes Up Short

Foothills Christian extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Friday, dropping them down to 0-8. They took a 38-23 bruising from the O'Farrell Charter Falcons. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.

Joshua Hawkins threw for 86 yards on five of 11 attempts. Mason Wilborn was his top target, picking up 56 receiving yards.

As for O'Farrell Charter, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Dakobi Coleman was his usual excellent self, rushing for 94 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 146 yards and one TD.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Foothills Christian is set to face off against their familiar foe Tri-City Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, O'Farrell Charter will take on rival Maranatha Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
