Baseball Recap: Frazier Wins Going Away Against Monessen

Frazier got themselves on the board against Monessen on Thursday, but Monessen never followed suit. They blew past the Greyhounds 13-0. The victory continues a trend for the Commodores in their matchups with the Greyhounds: they've now won five in a row.

Noah Bachinski was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Brant Alekson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Frazier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Monessen only posted an OBP of .286.

Frazier now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Monessen, they are on a 28-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frazier will take on California at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monessen, they will square off against Eden Christian Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Eden Christian Academy's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Monessen's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
