Recap: Spanish Fork Dons vs. Wasatch Wasps
The Spanish Fork Dons pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 70-59 to Wasatch. Spanish Fork has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Spanish Fork still got an impressive performance from Aaron Dunn, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. Dunn has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Beckstead, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds.
Spanish Fork has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Wasatch, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spanish Fork will take on Timpview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Maple Mountain is ranked 42nd, while Wasatch is ranked 57th).
