Basketball Recap: Washington Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Washington Academy can now relate to. They took a hard 56-38 fall against the John Bapst Memorial Crusaders on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Crusaders are ranked tenth).

Washington Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for John Bapst Memorial, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

Washington Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for John Bapst Memorial, they will square off against Old Town at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
