Baseball Recap: Ector Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Ector's offense. They fell just short of the Trenton Tigers by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Ector now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for Trenton, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-11-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ector will challenge Tom Bean at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trenton, they will take on Savoy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.91 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
