Football Recap: Roanoke Catholic Takes a Loss

If Roanoke Catholic was feeling good fresh off their 36-6 takedown of Montcalm last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Celtics took a 9-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops on Thursday. The Celtics were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bishops apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2017.

Roanoke Catholic now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Virginia Episcopal School, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roanoke Catholic will face off against Hargrave Military Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Virginia Episcopal School, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fork Union Military Academy at 4:00 p.m. on the 25th.
