Basketball Game Preview: Fairfield Falcons vs. Eastside Blazers

The Fairfield Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Eastside Blazers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Saturday, Fairfield was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-47 to Concord.

Meanwhile, Eastside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 58-20 loss at the hands of West Noble.

Fairfield now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Eastside, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Fairfield took their win against Eastside when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 55-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fairfield since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
