Softball Recap: Chicopee Comp Wins Going Away Against Palmer

Chicopee Comp won the last time they faced Palmer and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Colts put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 13-7 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colts.

Marissa Vasquez was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alexis Wojcik, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Chicopee Comp kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palmer only managed three hits.

Chicopee Comp's win bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Palmer, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Chicopee Comp nor Palmer have any future games scheduled.
