Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lewis Central walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Denison-Schleswig Monarchs on Tuesday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win on Thursday.

Lewis Central never let Denison-Schleswig on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17, 25-20.

Lewis Central found their leader in sophomore Jacey Young, who had 14 digs and two aces.

Lewis Central was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

Lewis Central is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-10 record this season. As for Denison-Schleswig, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-19.
