Softball Recap: North Pike Jaguars vs. East Central Hornets
It's playoff time, and North Pike had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the East Central Hornets get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Jaguars needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
The result came thanks to Anna Claire Weber's shutout, as she gave up just six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, North Pike got a massive performance out of Ellyn Williams, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases Williams has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Ahlyana Houston, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double.
