Softball Game Preview: St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons vs. Central Private Redhawks

The St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons will venture away from home to challenge the Central Private Redhawks at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. St. Thomas Aquinas hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

St. Thomas Aquinas lost 20-2 to Northlake Christian on Wednesday.

St. Thomas Aquinas saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylie Inzinna, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Inzinna hit this season. Ava Berthelot was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

Meanwhile, Central Private unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against Zachary, falling 13-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Redhawks have suffered since April 17, 2024.

Central Private's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

St. Thomas Aquinas couldn't quite get it done against Central Private when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 7-3. Can St. Thomas Aquinas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
